On Thursday morning the TY girls spent the first two class periods taking part in the first week of the 5 week ‘Fit Walk’ course. The girls spent an hour with 2 volunteers from the Westmeath Sports Partnerships learning about the benefits that walking has on your fitness. As well as doing theory work the girls were shown different walking techniques that got the hearts pumping! Over the next 5 weeks the girls will continue to learn about the many different styles and techniques of walking and how to improve their fitness.
